Richardson guided corporate lawyers group’s global expansion

Whenever Veta T. Richardson thinks about doing any aspect of her job for the last time, she focuses on the joy of it. But with the joy comes a little sadness, too. For example, she feels emotional about the final time she’ll write thank-you notes to employees, informing them of their merit increases.Richardson, president and CEO of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) in Washington, gave the board notice of her retirement last October, to allow ample time for a thoughtful replacement search.
